The Honey Starts Here

We are so excited about this year's harvest! It is our first full harvest. Our beekeeping journey began in the spring of 2022. My sister gave me her hive equipment and I studied, attended Bee School at the Beekeepers of Indiana annual meeting, and I watched hours of YouTube videos. In the Spring of 2022 I started two hives from bees that I purchased. I also caught a couple of swarms and started hive colonies with them. By the grace of God all four hives survived the winter and have grown strong.

It has been a productive Spring and I kept adding honey supers (boxes where the bees store the honey) as they filled up. We did our first honey harvest at the end of July. To our amazement we harvested over two hundred pounds of honey. We extracted the honey and put some of the boxes back on the hives for the bees to refill.

Since then, we have been bottling the honey, designed our first label and preparing this website to hang our “honey shingle” online. In the coming days we hope to launch the online store on this site. Until then you can contact us directly to buy honey.
